Castaway Chapter Seventeen - All Alone

It's been several weeks and Haley spends all her time up at her mom's grave.

"Haley, you can't live like this. I don't know how to survive here like you do. I need you to help me and I will help you. We only have each other." Jordon tells Haley. 

Haley wells up with tears in her eyes, then gets up and gives Jordon a big hug.

Haley still cries at night before she goes to bed but makes sure Jordon doesn't see her cry.

Jordon tries his best to cook but seems to over cook everything. Haley doesn't complain about the food and eats it.

Jordon sleeps in the same room as Haley to make her feel safe.

Haley knows Jordon is there to protect her, but she still has terrible dreams every night since the accident.

The next morning Haley gets out of bed determined to make the best of her new world. Her parents and grandparents made sure she learned a lot. So she takes Jordon out to gather fruit and supplies.

"This is actually fun. I haven't had this much fun in a long time. Let's see if we can catch some dinner." Jordon tells Haley as he laughs. 

"Oh we will, my dad showed me how to fish. It's really easy to do." Haley replies smiling.

After they finished fishing, they actually managed to catch a few fish, Haley instructed Jordon on how to clean and cook them.

Haley ate it up like it was the best thing she had ever eaten. Jordon cleaned up. 

"So what do you want to do now? Jordon asks her.

"I have a idea! Let's go up to the pond and swim a bit."

It was growing dark and the water was warm. Jordon and Haley splashed each other as they played in the water. Jordon was happy to see Haley smile again.

After they finished swimming, Jordon headed for a bath.

While Haley used the shower in the other hut.

"Jordon! Come, let's play my favorite game for a while!" Haley called out to Jordon.

They both played for many hours until it was too dark to see.

Then they sat by the fire and told stories to each other.
